Winter can be a fun time to practice shooting. Some things to remember.
Safety
Be ready for the cold. Dress appropriately. Warm up in the club house as needed to avoid frost bite. A fire in the wood stove can be real nice.
Be prepared for snow removal. Go expecting to help remove snow if you are able to.
Watch for Icey spots to avoid falls, sand in the Salt/sand shed for slippery spots.
Always follow range safety rules.
Don’t forget the flag, sign in and out, and lock the gate if you are the last one out.
Clean up
Clear snow away from shooting position so brass doesn’t disappear. Placing a tarp down saves time for brass cleanup.
Leave the range cleaner than you find it.
Put trash in the dumpster or take it home with you.
Shooting Times
No shots before 9 am.
No shots after local sunset, check – don’t guess.
Report any issues to a club officer.
There should be a contact list in the signup kiosk.
