A note about our Google Group Email list
Members,
A member recently expressed concern about the privacy of our email list on Google groups. Let me assure you that it is set up as a private email list. What does this mean? It means you MUST be a member on the list to even see the list. Club members addresses, email addresses and Names are not publicly available. Anyone that tries to email to the list or view it on googlegroups.com that isn’t logged into google with a valid email that is on the list gets this message:
Durham Rod and Gun Club
You must be signed in and a member of this group to view and participate in it.

You may opt out of the group by clicking on the link provided in any email received from the group. If you do this, you will NOT receive renewal notices, club closure notices, meeting reminders, or other important information sent by the club. Also, these notices will not be sent out by post office mail. It is not possible to send out individual emails as a common practice. When attempting to send large number of emails, servers will block them as spam. That is why we are using google groups. It allows us to efficiently communicate with club members.
